Vason used the Transition Resideny to develop the idea of a ‘double image’ through a site-specific collaborative process with Zierle & Carter, working in various sites around Penzance and throughout Cornwall. The outcomes of each day were on display in the gallery the following day.

This video piece is a collaboration with Alexandra Zierle & Paul Carter and was created in December 2011 during Vason’s joint ‘Performance Transition’ residency slot with Zierle & Carter at The Exchange with . During their 5 days together they explored notions of image and performance and their intricate relationship, in preparation to working at greater length later on in Vason’s latest publication ‘Double Exposures’. Experimenting with various media as image, this body of work organically came out of a atmosphere of collaborative play and improvisation. Performed by Zierle & Carter and filmed by Manuel Vason.
