Varmints is the brand new children’s dance theatre show, which tells the poignant tale of one small creature’s struggle to preserve a world in danger of being lost forever. Every day the city grows larger and the noise grows louder, until there is so much noise that no-one can hear themselves think.
Based on the award-winning book by Helen Ward with beautiful illustrations by Marc Craste, this thrilling production is choreographed by B-boy and New Wave Associate Wilkie Branson and directed by children’s theatre specialist Sally Cookson, who brought their brilliantly energetic Christmas show BOING! to Sadler’s Wells Lilian Baylis Studio for a second time last year.
Co-produced and commissioned by East London Dance, Sadler’s Wells and Stratford Circus.
Supported by Bristol Old Vic, Pavilion Dance South West, and Bridport Arts Centre with thanks to the Unity Trust.
Varmints comes to the Lilian Baylis Studio as part of a tour produced by Travelling Light Theatre Company.
Varmints is based on the book by Helen Ward and Marc Craste, with kind permission of Templar Publishing.
